WHAT WE DO

Ever since Alex was a kid, he always was into something: a true entrepreneur at heart. He was also always doing something with his hands; whether assisting his dad with putting up dry wall to even rebuilding a car. Designing, building and creating were constants in his life. 

Both of his parents were into home renovations on the side, and he learned quite a lot from them. In a way, Greyhouse Company is a tribute to our family members.

The biggest project he worked on with his dad was an old 1900s farmhouse. It was a full gut job from the inside and out. This was the first project in Alex’s design career where his creativity truly ran wild. He tested things never done before using his ingenuity and good instincts. He repurposed original materials throughout the house. He created a space where the old met the new.

While working on this project, a number of friends would question Alex, “Why aren’t you doing this for a living full-time?” It was a funny thought at the time.

That thought became a dream, and then that dream became a goal. That goal then became a reality. 

Finally in 2020, the leap of faith was taken. With the help of his wife, Greyhouse Company was born. And with the grace of our first clients, who took a shot on us, Greyhouse started growing and establishing a name. 

We are so grateful that all our growth has solely been from word of mouth. We believe our success can be attributed to our high quality work and what we stand for.
